Established in Year 2000, the Renaissance Physician Organization (RPO) is a doctor owned and operated city-wide network of 800+ Primary Care and Specialty physicians in and around Houston and SE Texas. Renaissance is organized geographically into PODS (Physician Organized Delivery Systems) and serves the needs of approximately 75,000 patients in collaboration with our two Health Plan partners (Texas HealthSpring, and HMO Blue Texas).
Health Care is generally local in nature; the PODS therefore prefer to work primarily in and around one or two hospitals per area with primary care physicians and specialists who have agreed to work together. The benefits to our patients is to enhance their coordination and quality of care rendered. These PODS, their physicians and preferred hospitals, can be viewed on the adjacent map.
